About Erin Howard
Native Plant Project Intern
Erin is a Master’s student whose personal interest in plants and background in microbiology led her down the path of research in plant-microbe interactions. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and medical anthropology. Since graduating, Erin has been researching the symbiotic relationships between plants and microorganisms that live in the soil. This includes her previous project with Painted Flower Farm and in her current work for her Master’s thesis at Texas Woman’s University. In her free time, Erin likes riding her bike, swimming, and watching nature documentaries. At Burton Science & Technology, Erin is gaining skills in native habitat restoration, project management, GIS mapping, and science communication.
